TSA seeks to add 2,540 screening agents

The Biden administration’s budget proposal for fiscal 2023 calls for increasing the number of Transportation Security Administration screening officers by 2,540 in anticipation of high air travel demand. “The return of passenger traffic was expected to take several years, but updated projections showed TSA returning to 2019 levels in 2022, a year earlier than initially planned,” TSA said.
