A4A chief economist talks air travel recovery
“The good news is I think we have a very tangible, palpable recovery under way,” A4A Chief Economist John Heimlich said on the latest episode of the Airlines Confidential podcast. “Business demand and much of international demand is starting to show some real traction.” Asked about the US airline industry’s key priorities, Heimlich said, “A very swift end to the international inbound predeparture COVID testing requirements as well as allowing the federal mask mandate on aircraft to end expeditiously.”
