FAA seeks record-high passenger fines

The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking to impose its largest passenger fine yet, $81,950, against a woman who allegedly pushed and spit on members of a flight crew and tried to open the cabin door. The FAA is also seeking a $77,272 fine against another passenger. These fines are a result of the FAA’s zero-tolerance policy, which has been in place since January 2021 to help mitigate unruly passenger incidents
