US airlines prepare for busy summer travel season

US airlines are preparing for peak travel season as demand for air travel spikes. “We’re seeing an increase in demand that is really unparalleled,” said Delta Air Lines President Glen Hauenstein. American Airlines’ new CEO, Robert Isom, said the carrier is focused on reliably operating the summer schedule it has set. “People really need to feel like they have control of their itineraries and we give them control by making sure they get to where they want to go on time,” Isom said.
