Hotel, Clemson Univ. team up to hire 40 with disabilities

A global trend is reflected in plans by the forthcoming Shepherd Hotel in downtown Clemson, S.C., to employ 40 people with intellectual disabilities, or 40% of its staff, in partnership with Clemson University. Affirmative hiring of people with disabilities is emerging among hotels in countries such as Brazil and India, and is required by law for employers in several nations.
