Southwest reflects on long term sustainability strategy

Southwest Airlines is focusing on what is possible now to move the industry toward its goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050. “Now we’re getting into the true work, and we’re collaborating in a much different way. It’s really exciting,” said Stacy Malphurs, Southwest Airlines’ vice president of supply chain management and environmental sustainability. “We got to do the things that treat our planet with respect that, that promotes the longevity of the planet that protect our planet for future generations,” Malphurs added. “The Golden Rule is so core to who we are at Southwest.”
