FAA will boost air traffic control staffing in Fla.

The Federal Aviation Administration pledged to “immediately” increase staffing at a major air traffic control center after agency officials met with airline representatives on how to deal with increased traffic in Florida and they said they expect to continue boosting flight volume to the state. The FAA will also develop a “playbook” for operations in Florida similar to one governing flight operations in the congested area around New York City.
