Occupancy in Pebblebrook Hotel Trust’s Washington, D.C.-area portfolio rose to 39% in March from 15% in January, according to CFO Raymond Martz, and other slow-to-recover markets have also shown improvements. “Based on our current pace for April, these occupancies should rise another four to five occupancy points, despite the negative impact of Easter and Passover in April, and occupancy should continue to improve during the rest of the quarter,” Martz said during a recent earnings call.
