United Airlines is investing in Dimensional Energy, which aims to produce sustainable aviation fuel using a new technology creating usable ingredients from carbon dioxide and water, and committed to buying 300 million gallons of the innovative fuel over 20 years. “As we grow our portfolio of companies like Dimensional, we are creating opportunities to scale these early-stage technologies and achieve United’s commitment of carbon neutrality by 2050,” said Michael Leskinen, president of United Airlines Ventures, the carrier’s investment arm.
