Growth-minded Highgate chief eyes luxury, lifestyle hotels

Luxury and lifestyle properties top the shopping list of new Highgate Hotels CEO Arash Azarbarzin, whose company now lists about 60 such hotels in its portfolio of 560. Off-market buys are preferred, says Azarbarzin, noting that “We’ve looked at at least 40 assets this year to acquire, and we didn’t win any of them because we’re not going to pay crazy money.”
