American Airlines, TSA test mobile ID in Dallas

American Airlines and the Transportation Security Administration are testing technology at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport that allows passengers to have their faces scanned and present a QR code on a mobile app rather than using a physical identification document such as a passport. The option is open to members of American’s AAdvantage loyalty program who are also enrolled in TSA’s PreCheck program.
