Airlines work to increase sustainable fuel production
Multiple airlines have announced sustainable fuel initiatives in recent weeks, and American, Delta, Alaska and United were among the airlines that collectively bought 100,000 gallons of SAF from World Energy for flights from Los Angeles at a summit where executives called for government support. “This isn’t a competitive issue, we should treat it like safety, and we should all try to do the right thing,” said Scott Kirby, CEO of United Airlines.
