Gaming and Leisure buying R.I. casinos in $1B sale leaseback

Gaming and Leisure Properties is buying two casinos in Rhode Island in a $1 billion sale leaseback transaction with Bally’s, which will own, control, and manage the facilities’ gaming operations. The two properties are the Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort and Tiverton Casino & Hotel. However, if certain third-party consents and approvals for the Lincoln property are not received in time, GLPI will instead acquire the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi in Mississippi.
