Federal nod clears way for Hawaiian’s satellite internet

The Federal Communications Commission has given SpaceX approval to provide StarLink satellite internet on moving vehicles such as aircraft and cruise ships, clearing the way for Hawaiian Airlines to offer it on all the airline’s flights at no charge starting in 2023. “We waited until technology caught up with our high standards for guest experience, but it will be worth the wait,” said Hawaiian Airlines President and CEO Peter Ingram.
