Vietjet launches maiden flights to Fukuoka and Nagoya from Hanoi

Vietjet continues to expand Vietnam-Japan flight network post-Covid period by launching its direct routes from Hanoi to Fukuoka and Nagoya during the weekend. The new direct services will offer more convenient and affordable flight choices to travelers not only between Vietnam and Japan but also among southeast Asian countries and Northeast Asian region.

Starting in early July, the Hanoi – Fukuoka route operates thrice weekly return flights on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. From July 3 onwards, the Hanoi – Nagoya route operates four weekly return flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Both routes’ flight time is nearly 5 hours per leg.

Vietjet currently operates direct flights between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and Tokyo (Narita)/ Osaka with a daily return flight on each route. The Tokyo (Haneda) – Da Nang route will re-launch from September with four weekly trips. Together with the two new services, Vietjet increases the connections between Vietnam and Japan to 7 services as one of the top flight capacity providers of the two countries.

Vietnam has been a rising destination in recent years, drawing more and more world travelers, and routinely receiving praise from leading global travel magazines. Hanoi, the capital city with over a thousand years of history, is home to enchanting lakes, unique urban areas such as the bustling Old Quarter and an array of fascinating heritage buildings.

Currently, Japan has issued entry visas for Vietnamese people for short-term commercial purposes, studying abroad, working, visiting relatives. Japanese visitors to Vietnam are exempted from visa for a less than 15-day visit. Vietnam has lifted the arrival regulations relating to Covid-19 and travelers can enjoy a completely pre-pandemic fashion arrival in Vietnam.
