NYC lawsuit alleges con game of hotels in disguise

A lawsuit filed by the city accuses a New York real estate broker of illegally operating an apartment building as a hotel using Airbnb to advertise rooms. “These short-term, illegal rentals have a major impact on our hospitality industry and those who are employed in the industry,” Mayor Eric Adams declared in citing Arron Latimer and Apex Management as symptoms of a larger problem.
