Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City Set To Debut October 2022
Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City, the first Hyatt Regency hotel in Utah, is set to debut in October 2022. Located at the epicenter of Salt Lake’s bustling downtown, the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City will be the only hotel directly adjoining the Salt Palace Convention Center and is poised to anchor the city as a top destination for hosting world-class events. The hotel’s arrival will bring 60,000 square feet of meeting space, including one of the largest hotel ballrooms and most expansive outdoor rooftop event terraces in the city.
The upcoming opening of Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City marks the largest convention hotel to debut in nearly 20 years in Salt Lake City, currently one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. The thriving cultural and culinary hub surrounded by a majestic backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains is home to many corporate headquarters and serves as a gateway to Silicon Slopes, Utah’s rapidly expanding startup and tech scene. The anticipated opening of the hotel will set a new standard for seamless gatherings, blending the local eclectic style with intuitive design, tech-enabled conveniences, and dynamic, energizing spaces for a productive stay.
Located just one block from Salt Lake City’s thriving Main Street, the 25-story hotel will feature a striking glass façade. The top floors will be comprised of 700 spacious guestrooms and suites, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the skyline and surrounding mountain peaks. Designed for both business and leisure travelers, accommodations will connect guests with modern essentials along with tech-forward conveniences such as streaming capabilities, a Smart Mirror vanity, and digital room entry via the World of Hyatt app.
An inviting lobby will serve as a central place to convene, complete with a double-sided fireplace, seating areas and locally inspired artwork. The convivial space will also feature three dining venues offering a variety of ambiance from casual to lively, including Contribution, an upscale street-facing bar; The Salt Republic, a spacious open-kitchen American bistro; and Market, a local artisan grab-and-go store. Mar | Muntanya, a Spanish-inspired specialty restaurant, will be housed on the sixth-floor rooftop terrace, located adjacent to an outdoor heated pool, cabanas, firepits and idyllic mountain views.
At the heart of Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City will be an impressive mix of indoor and outdoor meeting and event facilities suitable for hosting both intimate and large-scale gatherings, all paired with exceptional event planners who deliver empathetic service. Spaces will include two expansive ballrooms, breakout rooms, pre-function space, an outdoor event terrace, and a Broadcast Lounge, one of the first of its kind to debut across the Hyatt Regency brand enabling meeting guests to experience their event in a hybrid manner.
The hotel is conveniently located near many of the area’s popular attractions and less than seven miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport. Vivint Arena, Temple Square, Capitol Theatre, City Creek Center, and Main Street are accessible via a short walk, as well as Sugar House and 9th and 9th neighborhoods. Guests can also experience nine world-class ski resorts that are just a short drive away, including Park City and Deer Valley.
