Lack of labor is a problem for hotels

Hotels are finding it difficult to replace the workforce that left the industry during the pandemic, with the number of accommodation workers down 16% in June from June of 2019, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In response, hotel operators are boosting pay and using technology, such as robots and mobile apps for check-ins, where possible.
