Mactan-Cebu International Airport bring industry updates to tour operators as Cebu tourism picks up
In partnership with Cebu Alliance of Tour Operations Specialist, Inc. (CATOS), GMR MEGAWIDE Cebu Airport Corporation (GMCAC) holds its “Balik Cebu” (Come Back to Cebu) Virtual Product Update last July 29 with about 50 tour operators from Central and Southern Philippines as Cebu gears up for the expected increase in the number of tourists.
The Cebu tourism industry is showing positive signs of recovery from the effects of the pandemic after eased border restrictions allowed both local and foreign tourists to travel again.
“We are looking forward to welcoming more passengers in Cebu as we also look forward to exciting things happening as recovery begins in full swing. The eased border restrictions paved the way for the resumption of opportunities to recover from the economic downturn,” said Aines Librodo, Head of Airline Marketing and Tourism Development.
Librodo added that as more passengers return to travel again, the airport is fully prepared to ensure necessary facilities and services, including transfer desk assistance and shuttle service, are available to offer convenience to the travelers.
