Plans for Miami soccer complex with hotel, retail advance

Miami city commissioners have voted to approve the Inter Miami soccer club’s $1 billion “special area plan” for a city-owned golf course near the city’s airport. The plan, which still requires zoning approvals, calls for a combined commercial complex, soccer stadium and park, including a retail village, 750-room hotel and office park.
