Layoff suit against Fla. hospitality firm settled for $2.3M

Rosen Hotels and Resorts of Orlando, Fla., will pay $2.3 million in the settlement of a class-action lawsuit brought by more than 3,600 employees alleging violations of federal law regarding furloughs. The firm failed to provide required advance notice of the 2020 layoffs and compensation to which the workers were entitled, according to the complaint.
