Mountain Home, Idaho, may be home to tribal casino
The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of Eastern Idaho and the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes have each made separate proposals for casinos off tribal lands in Mountain Home, Idaho. While the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes has not yet disclosed details of their pitch, the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes purchased 157 acres of land for a $311 million project that would feature a 500,000-square-foot casino, a horse-racing track, a 250-room hotel and an event center.
