Hotel owners see recovery in group bookings

Hotel companies have seen a rebound in group bookings for corporate events, weddings and other gatherings. Average daily room rates for group bookings surpassed their pre-pandemic numbers in August, according to STR. At Ryman Hospitality Properties’ Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Florida, business rebounded sharply after January of this year. “We started to see companies finally comfortable with asking their employees to gather together,” said Ryman’s Patrick Chaffin.
