FAA rolls out guidelines for vertiports

The advent of vertiports to accommodate electrically powered vertical take-off and landing aircraft has prompted the Federal Aviation Administration to issue new design standards for their construction. The interim guidelines address safety in terms of dimensions and load bearing, as well as charging facilities, lighting and visual aids, and location.
