Alaska Airlines delivers fresh hops to Hawaii, Alaska

It took cool-chain coordination with farm and distributor, but Alaska Airlines’ cargo division is the first commercial shipper to deliver fresh hops to brewers in Alaska and Hawaii from its Seattle hub. “This puts a Northwest agricultural product in places that don’t normally get it,” said Adam Drouhard, Alaska Air’s cargo managing director.
