American Airlines invests in hydrogen fuel delivery

American Airlines is investing in Universal Hydrogen, which is developing a distribution method that uses modular capsules to store hydrogen fuel. American expects to begin receiving deliveries for regional operations by 2025, to expand the use of hydrogen propulsion to its mainline fleet by the end of the decade and make it the primary energy source for narrowbody aircraft by the 2030s.
