Strong US dollar opens travel deals in some countries

American travelers hoping to take advantage of the strength of the US dollar should look at countries such as Portugal, Sweden or Turkey, writes columnist Alexis Leondis. High-end hotels in popular locations such as Capri and Paris have increased their rates as much as 40%, but travel experts recommend looking for combination hotel deals from airlines.
