Jet2 places $3.9billion order for 35 A320neos

Jet2.com has placed an order worth US$3.9billion for 35 A320neo aircraft taking its total to 98 aircraft.The latest agreement comes just over a year since Jet2 placed its first order for 36 A321neo in August 2021. Jet2 said in a statement that the aircraft are due to be delivered between 2028 and 2031, and that it planned to finance the aircraft from internal resources and debt. 

“The order reflects our confidence that we have a much-loved product built on sector leading customer service which we can continue to grow,” said Jet2 executive chairman Philip Meeson.

The A320neos will be configured for 180 seats with an Airspace cabin featuring innovative lighting, new seating products and 60 percent larger overhead baggage bins for added personal storage.

At the end of August, the A320neo Family has accumulated over 8,500 firm orders from 130 customers worldwide. The A320neo Family incorporates new generation engines and Sharklets, which together deliver more than 25 percent fuel and CO 2 savings, as well as a 50 percent noise reduction.
