Miami runway race raises $30k for charity

American Airlines served as the host sponsor as some 2,600 runners took off for a five kilometer race down a runway at Miami International Airport, the second part of an airport running series that raised $30,000. “It was an honor and a privilege for us to host two races this year as part of our first Runway 5K Series to do our part in the fight against breast cancer,” said Ralph Cutié, CEO of the Miami-Dade Aviation Department.
