2022 Travvy Awards Honors the Top Destinations
Top destinations were honored at this year’s Travvy Awards, which were held at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina in South Florida on Thursday, November 3. From the best culinary destination to the best honeymoon retreat and more, here’s the roundup of all the winners voted on by travel advisors.

Best Cruise Destination – Caribbean
Puerto Rico was awarded the Best Cruise Destination in the Caribbean. Jamaica took home silver in this category, and Barbados won bronze.

Best Cruise Destination – Central & South America
For the Best Cruise Destination in Central & South America, Panama was recognized with gold. Belize won silver, and Chile came in third place.

Best Cruise Destination – Europe
Greece was honored as the Best Cruise Destination in Europe. Italy followed in second place, and Croatia took home bronze.

Best Cruise Destination – Hawaii/South Pacific
The Best Cruise Destination in Hawaii/South Pacific was awarded to Tahiti. The silver place went to Oahu, Hawaii, and Fiji was honored with bronze.

Best City Destination – Domestic
Greater Miami was recognized as the Best City Destination for Domestic. New Orleans took home silver, and Las Vegas was recognized with the bronze.

Best Culinary Destination – Caribbean
Jamaica delights as the Best Culinary Destination in the Caribbean. Puerto Rico followed closely winning silver, and Aruba impresses by winning the bronze.

Best Culinary Destination – Mexico
In Mexico, the Best Culinary Destination was awarded to Los Cabos. While Puerto Vallarta took home silver, and Cancun was honored with bronze.

Best Culinary Destination – United States
In the United States, New Orleans was recognized as the Best Culinary Destination. Las Vegas came in a close second, and Greater Miami won bronze.

Best Destination – Asia
Thailand was recognized with gold for Best Destination in Asia. Japan followed with silver, and bronze was awarded to Singapore.

Best Destination – Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific
For Best Destination in Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific, The Islands of Tahiti won gold. New Zealand took home silver, and Australia came in third place.

Best Destination – Central & South America
Costa Rica was given gold as the Best Destination in Central & South America. Following close behind was Panama with silver, and Colombia was awarded bronze.

Best Destination – Domestic
Alaska was nominated as the Best Domestic Destination, with Hawaii winning Silver and Florida placing third.

Best Destination – Europe
For European destinations, Greece won gold as Best Destination. While Portugal came in second, and followed closely by Ireland with bronze.

Best Destination – Mediterranean
The Best Destination in the Mediterranean was awarded to Greece. Italy was honored with silver, and Malta was recognized with bronze.

Best Destination – Caribbean
In the Caribbean, Jamaica was awarded Best Destination. Puerto Rico was honored with silver, and Aruba with Bronze.

Best Destination – Mexico
Los Cabos won gold for Best Destination in Mexico. With Riviera Maya coming in second, and Puerto Vallarta a close third.

Best Honeymoon Destination – Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific
The Best Honeymoon Destination in Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific was awarded to The Islands of Tahiti. Silver went to Fiji, and New Zealand took home bronze.

Best Honeymoon Destination – Caribbean
For the Best Honeymoon Destination in the Caribbean, Saint Lucia was given the gold. Barbados took home silver, and Aruba was awarded bronze.

Best Honeymoon Destination – Mexico
Cancun was nominated as the Best Honeymoon Destination in Mexico. Los Cabos also wows, winning silver in this category, and Puerto Vallarta was awarded the bronze.

Best Honeymoon Destination – U.S.
Maui, Hawaii was awarded the gold for Best Honeymoon Destination in the U.S. Greater Miami came in second, and the Florida Keys & Key West won bronze.

Best Tourism Board – Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific
Travel Agents agreed, the Best Tourism Board in Australia/New Zealand/South Pacific is Tourism Australia, winning gold. Tourism New Zealand brought home silver, and Tourism Fiji was honored with bronze.

Best Tourism Board – Caribbean
In the Caribbean, Jamaica Tourist Board was given the top accolade for the Best Tourism Board. Discover Puerto Rico followed with silver, and Aruba Tourism Authority was awarded bronze.

Best Tourism Board – Central & South America
Costa Rica Tourism Board won gold for the Best Tourism Board in Central & South America. Panama Tourism Authority came in a close second, and ProColombia won bronze.

Best Tourism Board – Europe
In Europe, Tourism Ireland was awarded the gold for Best Tourism Board. Followed by the Greek National Tourism Organization winning silver, and Visit Britain in third.

Best Tourism Board – Mexico
The Best Tourism Board in Mexico was awarded to Los Cabos Tourism Board. Silver place went to Mexican Caribbean, and Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board was awarded bronze.

Best Tourism Board – U.S.
In the U.S. Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority won gold for the Best Tourism Board. Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau took home silver, and New Orleans & Company came in third.

Best Wedding Destination – Caribbean
Aruba won gold for the Best Wedding Destination in the Caribbean. Followed closely with Jamaica winning silver, and Puerto Rico being awarded the bronze.

Best Wedding Destination – Central & South America
For Central & South America, Costa Rica stands out as the Best Wedding Destination. Belize took home silver, and Panama came in third place.

The Best Wedding Destination in Mexico was awarded to Riviera Maya. Los Cabos also wows, winning silver, and Puerto Vallarta took home the bronze.
