New British One Air airline launches with a 747-400F frieghter
One Air, a new British cargo airline, has been granted its Air Operators’ Certificate (AOC) by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and is now approved to commence operations.
Headquartered in Kingston near London Heathrow, One Air plans to operate Boeing 747-400 freighter services to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, and later expand to China and the US.
The airline, which is the only UK operator of the Boeing 747, has dry leased its first 747 freighter and will add another during 2023. One Air’s majority owner, CEO Paul Bennett, believes there is strong demand for a British cargo airline and intends to add other aircraft types to the fleet later this year.
