The Latvian national airline airBaltic has announced that its top destinations from Finland in March were Munich, Copenhagen and Riga.

These destinations are becoming popular among both leisure and business travelers due to airline focus offering passengers a wide variety of travel options and flexible timetables. Apart from these destinations, airBaltic flights to Malaga, Berlin and Vienna are also ranked among the most favored routes from Finland in March.

“Finnair may have ceased its flights from Tampere, but with airBaltic and Ryanair flights we are more international than ever earlier. With airBaltic and their partner airlines, it’s possible to reach the whole world faster and smoother than ever with one flight change only”, says Marja Aalto, aviation senior specialist at Business Tampere.

AirBaltic base at Tampere is company’s first base outside Baltic countries and fourth base for total. During March 2023 airBaltic carried around 25 857 passengers or by 608 % more than during the same period last year in Finland.

New destinations from Tampere to Milan and Nice
Starting from May, airBaltic will open two new destinations for summer from Tampere. Flights to Milan and Nice will operate twice weekly from the beginning of May 2023. Other destinations operated directly from Tampere are Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Malaga, Munich, Rodos and Riga.

Ryanair operates London Stansted twice weekly.
