AirFi to Roll Out Inflight Streaming Solution Across EasyJet’s Entire Fleet

AirFi, a leading provider of inflight technology, has announced its plans to deploy its portable streaming solution on the entirety of easyJet’s fleet. Following a successful trial in October 2022 and the subsequent installation of the technology on an additional 108 aircraft, AirFi’s streaming solution will now be implemented on all 327 aircraft in easyJet’s fleet.

The innovative inflight system offers a customized wireless engagement portal that allows passengers to access a range of airline information, games, and journey-specific content. Passengers can connect to the system by linking to a local Wi-Fi network created by AirFi’s hardware solution. The digital upgrade can be seamlessly integrated into the aircraft without any disruption to service, and access to the content will be provided free of charge.

Simon Cox, easyJet’s Director of Inflight Retail commented that the technology installed across the aircraft would enable it to “introduce digital solutions for the convenience and benefit of all our customers” and that AirFi had been “able to meet our ambitious timelines for this project.”

Job Heimerikx, CEO of AirFi added: “We’re thrilled to have been able to complete a fleetwide deployment with easyJet in such a short amount of time. It’s a real testament to the strength of this partnership and the commitment to excellence on both sides. We are equally excited for the next steps in the partnership.”

Passengers flying with easyJet can look forward to an enhanced inflight experience, with easy access to engaging content and useful information throughout their journey.
