Turkish Airlines Strengthens Codeshare Network with ITA Airways and Icelandair

Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more countries than any other in the world, has announced two new codeshare agreements with ITA Airways and Icelandair, enhancing its global network and offering more options for its passengers. The codeshare partnerships will be effective from July 2023.

The codeshare agreement with ITA Airways, the new Italian flag carrier, will provide more flexibility and flight choices for customers of both airlines between Turkey and Italy. Turkish Airlines will place its flight numbers on nine domestic destinations of ITA Airways from Rome, including Brindisi, Bari, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Palermo, Lamezia Terme, Turin and Trieste. ITA Airways will place its flight numbers on Turkish Airlines’ flights between Rome and Istanbul.

The codeshare agreement with Icelandair, the national carrier of Iceland, will enable passengers to enjoy seamless connectivity between Turkey and Iceland, as well as other destinations in North America and Europe via Istanbul and Reykjavik. Turkish Airlines will place its flight numbers on Icelandair’s flights between Istanbul and Reykjavik. Icelandair will place its flight numbers on Turkish Airlines’ flights between Reykjavik and Istanbul, as well as other selected destinations in Turkish Airlines’ network.
