Norwegian Cruise Line said will homeport Norwegian Epic at Florida’s Port Canaveral on December 17, 2023, where it will begin sailing on seven-day Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.

In late May, the line canceled the vessel’s 2023-24 winter season from December 1 to April 9.

“Thanks to our great partnership and strong collaboration with Norwegian, we’re delighted to welcome back Norwegian Epic,” said Canaveral Port Authority CEO and Port Director Captain John Murray. “She’s a terrific addition to our fleet of homeported ships offering a variety of Caribbean sailings to meet the surging demand.”

The 155,873 gross ton, 19-deck Norwegian Epic carries 4,100 guests on double occupancy basis and offers such features as the Haven, a bowling alley, an Ice Bar and The Epic Plunge, the only bowl slide at sea.

“We are committed to providing exceptional vacation experiences, both aboard our ships and by taking our guests to some of the most sought-out destinations around the world,” a Norwegian Cruise Line spokesperson said in a statement.

“Additional information on Norwegian Epic’s new voyages from Port Canaveral will be shared as soon as it becomes available.”
