This is why businesses feel like customer feedback is necessary.

Virgin Voyages has canceled four cruises that were set to sail from Australia to New Zealand next year in favor of shorter trips after getting feedback from customers and travel advisors.

All of the scheduled cruises were to take place aboard the Resilient Lady.

They were set to sail in late January and early February 2024. The passengers and the travel advisors said they preferred shorter, roundtrip cruises that returned to the same Australian port.

Virgin sent an email to guests that read: “We have received significant feedback from Sailors and travel partners about the voyages available, so we’re adjusting our sailing schedule to provide more round-trip sailings in Australia from Melbourne and Sydney.”

The original itineraries on the sailings to New Zealand included five stops. It is unknown what the new itineraries will be. Guests who have already booked can choose between a full refund or having the credits transferred to a new cruise.

Resilient Lady is the newest ship for Virgin and is currently sailing around the Greek islands before returning to Australia in the fall.
