Geven and AERQ

Aircraft seating and interiors manufacturer Geven and AERQ, digital cabin solutions provider, have announced they are collaborating on the integration of AERQ’s AERENA Inseat System into Geven’s Essenza seat to combine state-of-the-art seating comfort and digital inflight technology.

AERQ says its AERENA platform addresses today’s pain points for airlines by allowing quick media content updates, adaptations of the UI and delivery of applications within days.

AERENA, which enhances passenger devices to be an integral part of the experience and supports multiple digital use cases, allows Bluetooth pairing which helps to create an upscale entertainment for the passengers. The in-seat system also offers a brilliant 4K viewing experience.

Geven, which has decades of experience in designing and building aircraft seating and other cabin products, follows a passenger centric approach with a primary goal of maximising passenger comfort that always keeps the efficiency of the cabin in mind. The products are ergonomic, reliable, easy to maintain and lightweight through modern composite materials and low in cost of ownership.

“AERQ and Geven share a passion for innovation and design as well as the dedication to be reliable, flexible and customer experience driven suppliers. We are delighted to integrate AERQ’s AERENA Inseat System in our products to combine state-of-the-art comfort and digital inflight technology. This creates an enhanced cabin experience that has the goal to make passengers feel at home during their stay onboard”, said Alberto Veneruso, Managing Director of Geven.

Arnd Kikker, Co-Managing Director at AERQ commented on the collaboration: “The manufacturers of seats and cabin interiors play an important role for the implementation of AERQ’s products in the aircraft. Close relationships with them are crucial to fulfil on our vision to digitise the cabin. We are excited to collaborate with Geven as a well-known and leading supplier in the aviation industry.”

The collaboration will be displayed at the Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2023 in Hamburg from 06-08 June.
