Pratt & Whitney has exciting plans to establish its new division, Pratt & Whitney Maroc (PWM), and construct a state-of-the-art facility in Morocco, as revealed during the prestigious Paris Air Show 2023.

The cutting-edge facility, strategically situated in Casablanca, Morocco, will specialize in producing precision-engineered static and structural machined parts for various engine models, according to a press release from Pratt & Whitney.

Maria Della Posta, President of Pratt & Whitney Canada, expressed enthusiasm for the venture, highlighting the numerous advantages of aerospace manufacturing in Morocco. The burgeoning aerospace community in Casablanca promises a highly skilled talent pool, a thriving economic environment, and unwavering government support, making it an ideal location for the new division.

Furthermore, the Moroccan Ministry of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies lauded the project’s potential impact on the Moroccan aeronautical ecosystem. They proudly shared that over 40% of women are already working in this industry, and the new PWM factory will further enhance the nation’s position in the global aerospace market.

The construction of this impressive 130,000-square-foot facility is expected to commence by the end of 2023 and is set to be completed by 2025. The estimated investment for this groundbreaking endeavor stands at approximately 70 million dollars. Pratt & Whitney’s move to establish PWM in Morocco marks a significant milestone, strengthening their presence in the aerospace sector and fostering international collaborations in this ever-evolving industry.
