Carol Wright, a highly experienced flight attendant with 38 years of service at American Airlines, collapsed during the flight. Her fellow crew members promptly administered CPR, but despite their efforts, her condition deteriorated rapidly. Consequently, the flight’s pilots made the crucial decision to declare an emergency and divert the aircraft to Dublin Airport (DUB) for immediate medical attention.

Airport fire services and paramedics swiftly responded to the emergency, rushing Wright to a nearby hospital. Despite the valiant efforts of her colleagues and the medical team, Carol Wright tragically did not survive.
