A Princess Cruises ship accidentally crashed into a pier upon docking in San Francisco on Thursday morning.

According to a statement obtained by CNN, the Ruby Princess “made unexpected contact with the dock at Pier 27,” damaging both the ship and the dock.

“There were no injuries and at no time were any guests or crew in danger,” Princess Cruises said in a statement. “The ship is safely alongside and disembarkation is complete.”

The ship, which sustained damage to its left rear side, was returning from a 10-day Alaskan sailing.

“I noticed we were spinning pretty quick, to be that close to the dock,” passenger Paul Zasso told CNN affiliate KGO. “I was mid-ship, portside, looked out the window, and we smacked into the dock.”

Princess Cruises is still planning to move ahead with another 10-day sailing to Alaska but it’s not clear when that voyage will start.

The U.S. Coast Guard is now investigating the incident.
