As Disney Cruise Line (DCL) prepares for the 2024 launch of its newest ship, Disney Treasure, the company revealed an artist rendering of the vessel’s stern.

DCL officials made the announcement on Tuesday in Celebration, Florida, sharing that Disney Treasure would maintain the cruise line’s tradition of being adorned with beloved characters with the addition of Peter Pan and Captain Hook to the stern.

The artist rendering shows Peter Pan using Tinker Bell’s pixie dust to add the finishing touch to the ship’s stern filigree with a paintbrush and paint bucket in hand. All the while, Captain Hook leans out a porthole with an angry look on his face, covered in yellow paint.

In March, DCL announced a significant milestone in the construction of Disney Treasure, with a special keel laying ceremony at Germany’s Meyer Werft shipyard. The highlight was the placement of a newly-minted coin under the keel of the ship by Philip Gennotte, portfolio project management executive, Walt Disney Imagineering Germany.

The new vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2024 and will be the second of three new ships planned through 2025. The Wish Class of DCL vessels are powered by liquefied natural gas and feature approximately 1,254 guest staterooms.
