Sandals Resorts International, parent company to the Caribbean all-inclusive Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts brands, has just announced a new series of ‘Back to the Beach’ professional development events for qualifying travel advisors, with multiple dates planned throughout 2023’s third quarter.

Organized by Unique Vacations, Inc. (UVI), an affiliate of the worldwide representative of Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts, the ‘Back to the Beach’ initiative constitutes the company’s unique on-resort travel advisor training program, which was originally conceived to re-introduce advisors to Sandals’ luxury resort portfolio after the travel sector’s pandemic-prompted pause.

To date, Sandals has already successfully hosted a total of over 2,000 travel advisors at more than 200 of these continuing education events. Hosted by UVI executives and regional BDMs, the most recent iterations have really honed in on sharpening advisors’ social media sales skills.

In May, saw more than 50 advisors attended an event at Beaches Turks & Caicos, conducted in in honor of Global Travel Advisor Day. Just this week, Sandals Emerald Bay hosted more than 50 travel advisors, along with the Deputy Prime Minister of The Bahamas, The Honourable I. Chester Cooper, in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Bahamian Independence.

“Back to the Beach has evolved into an immersive program that helps prepare the travel advisor community for tomorrow’s modern travelers, from expansive social media modules to product development training and relationship development with their BDMs,” said Gary C. Sadler, Executive Vice President of Sales and Industry Relations for UVI. “Travel advisors play a critical role in bringing visitors to the Caribbean and we’re giving them all the tools they need as we champion for their success.”
