Southwest Airlines, which already has a thriving hub in Orlando, is adding more flights in and out of the entertainment capital.

The Dallas-based carrier will add four new flights this summer.

The airline said the decision was based on the growing demand for travel to Orlando. Three of the four new roots began on July 15.

The three routes that were already started include Albuquerque, Boston and Long Beach, Calif. The 4th new route is expected to be out of El Paso, Texas. The route will start as Saturday-only flights. The El Paso route will begin on September 9.

The expansion by Southwest to Orlando is expected to trigger an expansion to other airports later this summer. The airline recently expanded its fleet of planes, as well. Southwest also plans an expansion at Houston’s Hobby Airport.

It will be interesting to see where else Southwest expands its route network since Orlando, the theme park capital of the nation, was a bit of a no-brainer.
