Air Canada has announced new features to its products and services, aiming to provide more comfort and convenience to its customers. The upgrades include expanded in-flight food and beverage offerings, more family-friendly options in the in-flight entertainment library, and additional advances to the Air Canada App.

According to Jacqueline Harkness, managing director of products and services at Air Canada, the airline is committed to improving its onboard experience as part of its ‘More to Travel’ initiative. “We’re pleased to offer more food and beverage options across a variety of tastes and preferences including products not available today on any Canadian airline, as we continue improving Air Canada’s overall onboard experience,” she said in a press release.

Some of the new food and beverage options include:

  • Earth’s Own oat milk, a Canadian non-dairy milk alternative
  • Blue Moon Belgian White and Hop Valley IPA craft beers
  • Vizzy Strawberry Orange Mimosa Hard Seltzer
  • Rosé from Provence, France and Aperol Spritz (Air Canada Signature Class on international flights)
  • Butter chicken with rice pilaf and cauliflower peas masala (Premium Economy and Economy on select flights)

The airline has also partnered with Mattel to offer some of the most popular kids’ shows and movies for in-flight entertainment, such as Hot Wheels in the City, Thomas and Friends: Learning with Thomas, and Barbie’s vlog. The new content adds dozens of hours of additional kids’ content to Air Canada’s award-winning in-flight entertainment library.

The Air Canada App has also been updated to allow for quick and easy access to important travel information, such as mobile boarding passes, passport details, airport maps and pre-ordering in-flight meals.

The new features are the latest made by the airline as part of its ‘More to Travel’ initiative, which was launched in June 2023 with the introduction of new fare options, flexible booking policies, enhanced Aeroplan benefits and more.
