Travelers planning a getaway to the Mexican Caribbean have new flight options as airlines continue to expand their service to the popular Mexican state of Quintana Roo.

American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Air Canada and WestJet have announced new routes from North America to Cancun and Cozumel.

The added service includes connections between Cancun and Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Raleigh, and Hamilton, Canada as well as flights between Cozumel and Montreal, Atlanta and Minneapolis.

Meanwhile, Delta revealed it will operate three additional flights per weekend between New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Cancun.

“These results are a positive bet by airlines on destinations in the Mexican Caribbean and reinforce our promise to continue offering the best in Mexican tourism to the world,” said Quintana Roo Tourism Minister Bernardo Cueto Riestra.

“This achievement is the result of the implementation of the new tourism model and Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa so that prosperity reaches all homes in the state and achieves profound transformation.”
