Spirit Airlines Marks 15 Years in Colombia with Anniversary Fares and Loyalty Program Promotion
Spirit Airlines is celebrating its 15-year anniversary of connecting the U.S. and Colombia with special limited-time fares for travel to the South American country as well as a promotion for members of its Free Spirit loyalty program.
Currently the largest U.S.-based, ultra-low-cost carrier in Colombia, Spirit flies to as many as seven destinations across the country, including Bogota (BOG), Cartagena (CTG), Armenia (AXM), Barranquilla (BAQ), Cali (CLO), Medellin (MDE) and Bucaramanga (BGA).
The limited-time anniversary fares start from $144 one-way and are valid for travel from September 5 to November 8, 2023. The flights originate from either Fort Lauderdale (FLL) or Orlando, Florida (MCO).
In addition to the special fares, Free Spirit loyalty program members can earn 1,500 bonus points on round-trip flights and 750 points on one-way flights to and from Colombia when they book by September 30 and travel by November 30, 2023.
“Our guests in Colombia have really embraced our low-fare, high-value model over the last 15 years, allowing us to offer even more options to travelers across the country and grow our service to seven Colombian cities,” Spirit President and CEO Ted Christie said in a statement.
The Spirit Charitable Foundation also commemorated the anniversary with a $100,000 donation to the Mano Amiga school in Zipaquirá, a nonprofit that transforms the lives of children in need through education.
“We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with our guests and local partners and look forward to continue serving our Colombian guests and the community through the Spirit Charitable Foundation,” added Christie.
