Malaysia Airlines Selects Viasat to Enhance In-Flight Experience On Board Its New Boeing 737-8 Fleet

Malaysia Airlines has chosen Viasat to outfit the airline’s new Boeing 737-8 fleet with its wireless in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, also opting for the company’s high-quality internet connectivity on board.

The agreement includes factory installation of Viasat’s equipment and the first aircraft is expected to be delivered to Malaysia Airlines later this month.

Viasat says that, through this partnership, Malaysia Airlines’ customers will be offered an enhanced and curated in-flight experience through the airline’s wireless IFE system, MHstudio, with access to over 500 on-demand entertainment options and personalised shopping experiences.

Malaysia Airlines will leverage Viasat’s Ka-band satellite network in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, including, once launched and in service, ViaSat-3 APAC.
