JetBlue Introduces Customer-Friendly Policy: Seating Children with Adults at No Charge

JetBlue Airlines has unveiled a customer-friendly policy aimed at making family travel more convenient and enjoyable. Here are the key highlights of this new initiative:

Automatic Seating for Children and Adults: JetBlue announced that it will automatically assign seats to children aged 13 and under when they are traveling with an adult on the same reservation. This service will be provided at no additional cost, irrespective of the fare type purchased. Even passengers opting for the most economical economy tickets, which typically exclude seat selection, will have the opportunity to sit together as a family.

The new policy is applicable to all JetBlue flights, including both domestic and international routes, and it is effective immediately. Customers need not take any extra steps to benefit from this service, as JetBlue will allocate seats on their behalf before their flight. However, passengers who prefer to select their seats independently can still do so by paying a fee or choosing a higher fare option.

JetBlue’s decision to automatically seat children with adults aligns with its commitment to delivering a seamless and enjoyable travel experience, particularly for families traveling with young children. JetBlue stands out as one of the few airlines offering this family-oriented benefit, as most others either charge additional fees for seat selection or only guarantee seating together for children under two years old. JetBlue is renowned for its family-friendly features, which include complimentary snacks and beverages, free Wi-Fi and entertainment, and extra legroom.
