United Airlines has inaugurated a new lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in Terminal A, featuring an Air Canada customer service desk. This unusual partnership between the two Star Alliance members grants eligible passengers from both airlines access to the lounge.

The recently unveiled United Club lounge, situated near Gate A27, boasts an expansive 15,000 square foot space accommodating up to 450 guests. Characterized by a “loft-inspired” design, it offers high ceilings, abundant natural light, and contemporary furnishings. The lounge provides various amenities, including a bar, a coffee station, snacks, Wi-Fi, business services, and conference rooms. Additionally, there is a designated area for Air Canada passengers to check in, print boarding passes, and receive assistance from Air Canada staff.

The lounge operates daily from 5 a.m. to 9:15 p.m., welcoming United premium cabin customers, Star Alliance Gold members, and United Club members traveling on international or premium transcontinental flights. Air Canada passengers in business class or with Altitude Elite 50K status or higher also have access.

This new United Club lounge forms part of United’s ongoing efforts to enhance the passenger experience at EWR, one of its primary hubs. The airline has plans to unveil a new United Polaris lounge for its long-haul business class passengers in Terminal C later this year.
