FedEx Boosts Its Cargo Fleet with New Boeing 767F and 777F Additions
Leading the charge in the global express transportation sector, FedEx is bolstering its formidable fleet with the acquisition of two state-of-the-art Boeing aircraft. To cater to the soaring demand for freight services, the company added its 56th Boeing 777F and the 134th Boeing 767F on October 10, 2023, inching closer to the 500 aircraft milestone in its expansive fleet.
Current Boeing 767 and 777 fleet and orders:
- 767-300F operating 134 on order 18, deliveries through 2025, replacing older Airbus A300-600RF and MD-11F, and largest operator of its type.
- 777-200LRF operating 56 on order 3, deliveries through 2025, replacing MD-11F, first US and largest operator of its type.
Both the Boeing 777F and 767F are setting benchmarks in the cargo aircraft arena for their reliability, fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions. Specifically, the 777F showcases an impressive ability to haul up to 102 tons of cargo spanning 4,900 nautical miles, while the 767F can transport up to 58 tons of goods for a distance of 3,000 nautical miles.
Holding the title of the largest Boeing cargo aircraft fleet operator globally, encompasses the likes of the 757F, MD-10F, MD-11F, and the 747-400F. Additionally, their diverse fleet includes aircraft models like the Airbus A300F, the ATR 42F, and the Cessna 208F.
FedEx’s global reach extends to over 220 countries and territories, facilitated by major hubs stationed in locations like Memphis, Indianapolis, Dallas, Anchorage, Miami, Newark, Oakland, Paris, Toronto, and Guangzhou.
